Dr. Giannone is a graduate of Forest View Hight School, Arlington Heights, Illinois. He earned a B.A. degree with a pre med curriculum at Loyola University Chicago. He served in the military as Chief, Optometry Clinic II, Ireland Army Hospital, Fort Knox, Kentucky, where he established an on-post visual training clinic and also served as Adjunct Professor to Indiana School of Optometry's extern program. Dr. Giannone received the Army Commendation Medal.
He practiced privately in Hoffman Estates, Illinois emphasizing vision therapy for sixteen years. He served as Chair of the Chicago Northwest Suburban Optometric Extension Program Study Group and as OEP Illinois State Director.
Dr. Giannone currently practices at Walmart Vision Center in Morris, Illinois, where he provides general optometry, vision care with contact lenses and eyeglasses, and medical examination, diagnosis and treatment of the human vision system.
Dr. Giannone enjoys playing keyboards, archery and is a body builder. He has three grown children and lives in Barrington with his wife Nancy and dogs Sophie and Lilly.
